Bespoke Training & Facilitation
Since 2020, The Creative Educator has tailored bespoke training in Music Education pedagogy, practice and delivery. Working in collaboration with Music Hubs across England, schools, multi-academy trusts and arts organisations, Jenetta listens to the needs of the client, establishes priorities for development and liaises throughout the writing phase to ensure that the needs of delegates are met.

I really enjoyed your session and there was a definite buzz in the room and lots of great discussion between colleagues. I thought you facilitated the session brilliantly and you encouraged colleagues to think about practical and realistic strategies they could implement in their own school.

The sessions delivered supported me in my practice on the course. In my first assignment, I chose to analyse my practice through a decolonisation lens, which was really underpinned by Jenetta’s Diverse Communities lecture, including a deeper dive into the link between EDI, specifically in relation to what those settings and environments look like in positive and negative scenarios.

Tenebrae’s team of 10 workshop leaders delivers fortnightly singing workshops to around 300 children, the vast majority of whom are from ethnic minority backgrounds. As well as covering the wider context of how historic power dynamics continue to impact on what’s taught in our schools today, Jenetta helped us to identify the many opportunities that arise from learning music from myriad different cultures. We’ll definitely be making this a regular part of our training.
